The Blockline is rideable for everyone - either 140 km at once or in three loops of 53, 52 and 66 km.

Route and signage

The Blockline is a fully signposted bike route. It runs counterclockwise. You can start anywhere, preferably at one of the Blockline portals or one of the Blockline accommodations. The signs with the dark green B on a yellow background show the way.

The route is particularly enjoyable with the Blockline starter package. It contains, among other things, your adventure guide, the Blockline neck warmer and many more tips for your adventure.

Starter packs will be available from Mid-June, the adventure book from the beginning of May 2021.

FAQ about the Blockline

Location of the Blockline

The Blockline is located in the east of the Ore Mountains - between Seiffen, world famous for its wood art, and the winter sports center Altenberg.

Arrival by Car

Dresden is 45 minutes away by car. Prague is 90 minutes away and Leipzig 1:45 h. Bayreuth and Erfurt are 2:30 h each, Berlin, Magdeburg and Nuremberg are three hours away. From Hanover, Kassel, Fulda and Munich it is about four hours.

Arrival by train

In the west, all stations between Mulda (Saxony) and Holzhau Skilift are suitable for getting on the Blockline. In the east, the trail can be accesed from Geising and Altenberg stations.
